On 21st June 2009, Nebula Aerospace began test transmissions on the 'Live TV' section of its website.
While initially limited to the display of a test card, this marks the start of a programme of development that will culminate
in the capability to view events that happen within Nebula Aerospace as they happen, anywhere in the world.
Ultimately, a number of channels will be available that show a mixture of live events and rolling recorded footage.
Channels are broadcast in Windows Media (WMV amd WMA) format using a variable bitrate (VBR) system.

This means that the channels can be viewed using either the embedded Windows Media Player control on the NAs Live TV page, or from a standalone player using the appropriate URL and ports.
A breakdown of the technical details for use of a seperate media player will be made available in a later article, and also on the NAs Live TV page.
Transmissions will utilise a maximum of 128kbps (64kbps each for video and audio streams) at least until the connection to the server is improved!
During the testing phase, its is likely that breaks in test card transmission will occur from time-to-time to allow the generating software to be updated and tweaked.
