The Right Stuffing

The rocket Ambition has space for just a single crewmember, and some tight requirements have to be met as to their size and weight.

A number of personnel have been considered for the maiden flight, but the choice has come down to a teddy bear. The successful bear will be no more than 30cm tall and weigh no more than 500g.

They will ideally have a pilot's license and Masters Degree or PhD in a science subject, although these requirements may be dropped for the ideal candidate.

The tasks the bear is required to complete for the duration of the mission are thankfully limited since the onboard computers take care of most of the work. However, should something go wrong, then we are relying on the bear to successfully pilot the craft back to Earth.

Update:

A shortlist of potential candidates has been drawn up and they are now undergoing initial evaluation. Stand by for more information on who is chosen to be Mission Commander.
