The latin phrase "non est ad astra mollis e terris via" literally means "There is no easy way from the earth to the heavens".

It is a quotation by Roman philosopher Seneca the Younger (4 BC - AD 65).


Other phrases that were considered but discounted were:

Nescio quid dicas - I don't know what you're talking about

and

Nolite id cogere, cape malleum majorem - Don't force it, get a bigger hammer
